Keepsake Care Instructions
Caring for Your Keepsake Jewellery
Treat your keepsake like your grandma’s prized pearls — with tenderness, love, and respect. Although crafted from high-quality, durable jewellery-grade resin, your piece is as delicate as it is beautiful. To keep it looking its best, please follow these care guidelines:
Chemicals:
Avoid exposing your keepsake to chemicals such as hand sanitiser, perfume, hairspray, cleaning products, nail polish remover, and body lotions. These solvents can react with the resin, causing it to become scaly, yellow, chip, or break down completely.
Scratches:
Try to avoid bumping, scratching, or sleeping in your resin jewellery, as this may damage your piece.
Water:
Do not submerge your keepsake in water. Resin is water-resistant, not waterproof. Always remove your jewellery before showering, handwashing, swimming, or washing dishes.
Sunlight:
Avoid wearing your jewellery for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Never wear it while sunbathing, using sunbeds, or under UV nail lamps. Store your jewellery away from sunlight, as prolonged UV exposure can cause discolouration and softening.
Smoke:
Regular contact with smoke may cause discolouration.
Abrasives:
Never use polish or abrasive cleaners on your keepsake.
Cleaning:
Gently polish your piece with a microfibre cloth, soft chammy, or silk cloth. Avoid rubbing the resin too hard, as this could cause damage.
Polishing Silver and Gold Settings:
Use a silver polishing cloth only on the silver or gold components of your jewellery. Be careful to avoid the resin parts. Gently rub the metal findings to restore their shine.
