Keepsake Care Instructions
Treat your keepsake like your grandma’s prized pearls—tenderly with love and respect.
Though crafted from high-quality and durable jewellery-grade resin, your piece is as delicate as it is beautiful. To keep it looking its best please follow these care instructions:
Chemicals: Avoid exposing your keepsake to chemicals and cleaning products. This includes hand sanitiser, perfume, hair spray, cleaning solutions, nail polish remover, body lotions etc. Solvents will react with the resin and cause it to become scaly, yellow, chip or break down completely.
Scrapes: Try to avoid bumping and scratching or sleeping in your resin jewellery. This could damage your piece.
Water: Do not submerge your keepsake in water. Resin is NOT waterproof, only water
resistant. Always remove your jewellery before, showering, handwashing, swimming, washing dishes etc.
Sunlight: Avoid wearing your jewellery for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Never
wear whilst sunbathing, on sunbeds or under UV nail lamps. Store your jewellery out of sunlight. Prolonged exposure to any UV light can cause discolouration and
softening.
Smoking: If your keepsake is in regular contact with smoke it may discolour.
Abrasives: Never use any polish or other abrasives on your keepsake.
Cleaning: A microfibre cloth, soft chammy or silk cloth will polish your piece nicely.
Please be gentle and do not rub the resin pieces too hard as this may cause damage.
Polishing Silver and Gold Settings: We recommend using a silver polishing cloth for your jewellery findings and settings, be careful not to use it on the resin parts of your keepsake. Gently rub the cloth on the silver/gold components to restore the shine.
